vb. n. {Wending}.] [AS. wendan to turn, to go, caus. of
windan to wind; akin to OS. wendian, OFries. wenda, D. wenden
to turn, G. wenden, Icel. venda, Sw. v[aum]nda, Dan. vende,
Goth. wandjan. See {Wind} to turn, and cf. {Went}.]
