External Hard Drive Recognized but not working - Microsoft Community Only to then find out that windows is not assigning it to a drive letter It shows up in device manager, however under disk manager it shows Disk 1 (the external) as a basic, 298 09GB, Online and the only thing it says in the partition window is '298 09 GB' and is blue (the color of Primary Paritions)
